My name is Meri Wilkinson and my love of Boxers began in 1998 with the purchase of a plain fawn boy called Beau. Within a year I lost him to cancer. Not long after that I decided to search out a new Boxer and this time I started by contacting the Dallas Boxer Club. I was referred to Russell Whitaker of RussGlen Boxers and the rest is history.
I met with Russell and came home with a 'pet' Boxer named
Harley. Not long after bringing Harley home I attended my first dog show and was bit by the show 'bug'. Harley went on the show circuit with Terri Galle. Since Harley was a 'classic' fawn the odds were against him. Harley and Terri overcame those odds and Harley became the 3rd out of his litter to earn his championship. I will always be grateful to Russell for trusting me with Harley and to Terri for her expert handling....not to mention the judges that put Harley up. Not long after Harley finished I went through a divorce and my days of showing dogs ended. Harley stayed by my side until his death in March of 2007...he is greatly missed.
A new era has come and it's time to start showing again. I now have 2 Boxers that will be on the show circuit.
Prissy came to me from Dan & Wendy Still of BlueCollar Boxers and
Briggs is from Linda & Skip Abel of Storybook Boxers. Prissy has some of the same bloodlines as my beloved Harley and Briggs is a grandson of
Storybooks Rip It Up and a double great-great grandson of the legendary
Rochil's Grande Marshall.
My first goal is to provide the best care possible to the dogs I have. I believe the only reason to breed is to improve upon the breed. This will include breeding for soundness, temperment, type and longevity and testing these results with health testing and show ring performance. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Dan & Wendy Still, Linda Abel, & Russell Whitaker for entrusting me with their beautiful babies.
